A crown is a cap, typically consisting of porcelain that matches the shape and size of the tooth. After a root canal your tooth is vulnerable to cracking so you will need to be careful. Generally there will be pain but not necessarily all the time, it might just manifest as an occasional ache and can sometimes go undetected for months. We have new patients call us time to time and say “My Tooth Cracked After a Root Canal” If your tooth cracked following a root canal , chances are you were suffering from a condition known as cracked tooth syndrome.
