Deep root canal treatment

How do you know if you need root canal treatment? Are there hidden dangers to getting a root canal? What to expect after root canal treatment? What are the signs of a root canal infection?

If it becomes infecte you may need root canal treatment to remove the bacteria and save the tooth.

The root canal system contains the dental pulp and extends from the crown of the tooth to the end of the root. A single tooth can have more than root canal. When root canal treatment is needed.

Root canal treatment is only required when dental X-rays show that the pulp has been damaged by a bacterial infection. A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. In the majority of cases, a general dentist or endodontist will perform a root canal while you’re under local anesthesia.

The second refers to the tooth treatment aimed at the removal of infected material and elimination of a toothache. Root canals can fail for a variety of reasons, including a procedure that didn’t clean the canals to begin with, a breakdown of the crown or its inner sealant, or essentially anything that allows the tooth that previously had a root canal treatment to become infected at the root and affect other teeth. During a root canal procedure , the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment , the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

It is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury: The infection can cause an abscess. Sometimes, leaving it may make the root canal treatment more difficult in the long run, but at the same time you don’t want to dive in there unnecessarily. The dentist may tell you the filling is deep and that it may need a root canal or extraction later.

The dental pulp is a soft substance in the center of the tooth that consists of the nerve, blood vessels, and connective tissue. The pain shouldn’t last forever. Magnifying glasses with fiber optic light can also be worn to give dentists a better view during the procedure.

The treatment of such cavities requires that all the infected pulp inside of the teeth be removed and cleane before the dental filling materials are injected into the tooth. In this video you can see the part of the treatment where the pulp is. This allows the patient to keep the tooth,.

It is a complicated procidure that has several steps!

The causes could be deep tooth decay, repeated dental procedures on one tooth (replacing a large filling, for example), or traumatic damage such as a crack, chip or even a root fracture. The tooth has a root , which when gets damage causes massive pain and sensitivity even to normal food and liquid at normal temperature. Subsequently, the resulting space is filled with an inert material to prevent infection. It does not just numb the gums, and the inflamed tissues. It ensures proper treatment of the root canal , killing the pain and leaving no room for occurrence of pain again.

See that black area at the end of the root. This is bacteria draining from the tooth even after the root canal has been done. Wait a minute doc, I thought root canals were supposed to resolve tooth infections. Well, usually they do but not always.

As dumb as it may soun it really works. After providing you with the local anesthesia , the endodontist opens a little hole in the crown enamel to access the pulp chamber. Once this matter is removed the cavity is filled with a permanent filling, and finally fitted with a crown.

Most people who undergo root canal treatment can expect a functional tooth after the treatment.
