Jaw bone pain after root canal

There are some underlying causes due to which the pain erupts. This article explicates the reasons why the pain persists , even after the root canal procedure is conducted. In some cases, after root canal treatment , infected tissue can stay in these branches. It’s important to remember that there are a lot of factors at play in this type of situation. For example, a person can have a serious infection – complete with inflammation and swelling – when they’re told they need root canal treatment.


If the root tip itself was infected before the root canal , there’s probably room for a little excess cement and you’ll never know it was overfilled. Two weeks after the day I had the root canal starte. After the throbbing pain , a lingering pain was still there in the lower jaw , particularly the last three teeth. I believe the dentist, somehow, tapped into the nerves of the last two tooth too because all the three teeth hurt.


The existing inflammation of the periodontal ligaments around the root tips of the infected tooth is the most common cause of tooth pain after root canal treatment.

Pain at this point was radiating down jaw and to right ear and cheek. Pain wakes me up and makes eating difficult. Tooth pain after root canal treatment is a common occurrence, but is usually minor and goes away within a week. Likely possibility that one of the Adjacent tooth or Opposing tooth on the same side of the arch may be having pulpitis.


This could be more like a Referred pain originating from one of the teeth close to the root canal treated tooth.
