Never get a root canal

Call Us in Phenix City for Info. Are there hidden dangers to getting a root canal? What are the symptoms of a bad root canal? Will a root canal last forever? When is a root canal goes bad?

They took the actual root canal tooth and they implanted the same root canal tooth with no more bacteria than would have been found in the person from which it came.

That same tooth was implanted under the skin of rabbits. Lo and behol they would find the same disease occur in the rabbits. Because there is no reliable way, practically speaking, to completely sterilize a root canal treated tooth, (while it is still in a patient’s mouth), it will be a source of infection for the whole body until it is extracted and the tooth socket is cleaned. And that’s when he gave me the harsh truth, he told me to get the tooth pulled and never have a root canal done. It’s more expensive to get a dental implant over a root canal , but in the long-term, it is the better option.

If you neglect treatment of a root canal problem long enough, you’re at serious risk for losing the infected tooth. Root Canal Treatment Can Save the Tooth. And tooth loss, once it starts, can bring on a host of other problems — like an increased risk of tooth decay on remaining teeth, as well as gum disease, bite problems… an as oral health problems escalate, even more tooth loss.

A proper root canal removes those branches as well in order to get to the root of the problem.

On another note, an abscessed tooth can cause other problems in the body. I remember reading an article about a man named Dr. Price with a patient who had an abscessed tooth, as well as arthritis. Thomas Levy discusses a topic from his recent book on root canals. Find out why he thinks the common procedure can be very dangerous and can actually lead to serious health problems down the road.

If you delay a root canal for too long, you will be at risk for serious dental problems and medical conditions. I then need to explain that I need to place a post inside the tooth to allow me to build up the tooth for a crown. But I can not put a post in a tooth if the nerve space has not been treated with a root canal. So… the patient needs a root canal so I can place a post so that I have enough tooth structure to support a crown.

While not specifically about root canals , one option that some people choose, if they have an existing root canal , is to have the dead tooth removed , so we include this article in the series. And so we continue the discussion of what is definitely one of the most heated debates in dentistry today. A filling will not resolve the problem, nor will antibiotics permanently resolve the infection. Having a root canal by a competent doctor is essential.

I just had one done and the only procedure this doctor performs are root canals. She was very thorough and helped me get through the procedure. If a root canal is needed and it is not done, the infections can actually cause heart disease and can cause death. I’ve always had a fascination with studying oral health, and while I’m glad to have never needed a root canal (or an alternative), I felt it was good to research them and be prepared in case I ever did.

So, what happens if you don’t get a root canal ? Unfortunately, a lot of things can go wrong if an infected tooth goes untreated.

Here are just some reasons why you should never delay root canal therapy when our dentists say you need one. People widely consider the root canal to be one of the more painful dental procedures, but it’s simply not true. Root canals are designed to relieve pain, not cause it. A root canal doesn’t cause you pain, it will relieve your pain. The procedure itself is actually fairly pain free.

If that occurre then our options would be to try to remove the crown but face a potential catastrophic fracture of the tooth. Or the patient can opt not to take the chance of a tooth fracture upon removal of a crown and have a root canal performed with access through the recent crown. It also gives the tooth the ability to perceive hot and cold and vibration.

Pulp and nerve is good because small cavities can recalcify and solve themselves but only if the tooth is alive and has not had a root canal. Pulp can become inflamed or infected from deep decay,. The pulp or pulp chamber is the soft area within the root canal.
