Some people may require some teeth to be uprooted to make room for more fitting dentures , especially if the person’s existing teeth are sick or the person opts for complete dentures. Patients who need snap in dentures , additional fasteners of the dentures in the mouth, might be required to pay slightly more money than that of regular dentures. Snap-on dentures , also called implant-supported dentures or overdentures, are held in place not just by the gums, but by either a few remaining teeth or by metal posts that are implanted in the jawbone.

Basically implants are used to secure a removable implant denture. Typically implants are used to retain the denture by way of locator attachments. This allow the dentures to be “snapped-onto” the implants. Stabilized overdentures look like a traditional, removable dentures.

Overdentures, or snap -in dentures , offer substantially better for patients than traditional dentures , alleviating the need for adhesives.

These prosthetics provide the stability of dental implants and the convenience of removability. This solution’s a type of over-denture that gets some support from the implants that it snaps onto. Regular dentures rest on the gums and tend to fit less firmly in the mouth, but Snap-On Dentures are anchored to multiple implant posts and therefore does not slip or slide in place while eating and speaking.
