Calcified canal treatment

A canal in a tooth is the space in the middle of a tooth root. This space normally contains pulp tissue which is mainly nerve and vascular tissue. If the inner pulp in a calcified tooth becomes infecte it may require root canal treatment.


This procedure can be difficult to complete, because the canal can be hard to locate when there is calcification present. An untreated calcified canal can retain harmful bacteria and tissue. Failure to clean all of the canals in a tooth can result in leaving.
