Root canal and crown same day

How soon should a root canal be crowned? Are same day crowns better than traditional? Is a root canal done in one day? How long can I Wait from root canal to crown?


Doing a root canal and a crown on the same tooth in the same visit may seem mystical and magical, but, in reality, it just makes sense.

In the past, dentists were taught to do the root canal , place a temporary and send the patient away. The sooner a crown is placed after a root canal the better the outcome. Crowns seal the tooth and prevent bacteria getting back into the canal system of the tooth.
