Endofill sealer

Endofill is a radiopaque preparation for permanent root-canal filling. Its composition is well tolerated by tissues and it provides anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and germicidal actions. Before hardening, the paste penetrates the narrowest fissures and maintains its therapeutic effects throughout the treatment until completely set.

It showed slightly higher weight loss in RC Solve, followed by Endosolv and xylene and least in distilled water. Moreover, the degree of conversion was affected by the Endofill sealer.

CONCLUSION: The use of a eugenol-based sealer is not recommended because it affects the push-out bond strength of fiber posts. Please try again later. The specimens cemented with ATM-Fillapex sealer showed small areas of sealer penetration into the dentinal tubules, whereas the specimens cemented with Endofill sealer had a low rate of sealer penetration, only impregnating the root canal perimeter.

Endofill group scored higher than the others for giant cells (o5) and promoted a greater number of samples presenting abscess formation. GuttaFlow tended to show a less intense inflammatory infiltrate compared to the other materials. The endofill sealer was mixed on a clean glass slab and was introduced into the root canal by lentulo spiral (Dentsply Maillefer, USA) in order to smear the canal walls with the sealer and fitted into the root canal.

Lateral condensation was then completed with the use of finger spreader and accessory points.

Eugenol-based sealers ( Endofill ) significantly reduced the bond strength of fiber posts luted with resin cement. There were no significant differences between different root canal regions in both groups. The tissue repair occurred in days, regardless of the use of LLLT. The sealer coats the walls of the canals and fills the space between the root canal filling material and the root.

Their antimicrobial activity likely plays a very important role in the overall documented success of endodontic therapy. Endofill and AH Plus were the sealers associated to the gutta-percha for canal fillings. After the setting of sealers, new digital images were performed in the same manner as preoperative radiographics. Radiographic images of pre and post sealer association with gutta-percha were overlaid and analyzed to register the pixels number of the images. Empty polyethylene cannulae and cannulae filled with gutta‐percha cones alone were used as controls.

CLMS revealed remaining filling material in the dentinal tubules for all groups. The eugenol-containing sealer ( Endofill ) compromised the push-out bond strength of composite resin to the root dentin. Sankin apatite III in the least discolouration nine months after application as compared with AH2 Endofill , Tubli-Seal, and zinc oxide eugenol sealers. Sealer Plus also had the best histologic , with mild inflammation at days, similar to control, and a thin fibrous capsule in all specimens at days.

Although AH Plus had similar for biocompatibility, Sealer Plus was the only sealer to differ significantly from Endofill and SimpliSeal, which produced more severe inflammation. Análise da porosimetria do cimento Mta Fillapex em comparação ao Ah Plus, Sealer e Endofill Back to clinical articles Brazil By Ary Gomes da Motta Jr.

Antônio Jose do Nascimento Dias e Prof. In cases whose restoration planning includes a post cemented with resin cement, it is recommended that endodontic sealer be based on epoxy resin. Endofill caused the severest irritation, producing an inflammatory reaction that ranged from moderate to intense over the entire experimental period.

Reactions were more intense near those parts of the cannulae containing more sealer. Pulp Canal Sealer (38), Sealer (38), Endo Densell (36) and Pulp Fill (35). The control group had a mean absorbance of 0. Based on the , Endofill and GuttaFlow were the most and the least cytotoxic sealers, respectively. The use of bioceramic endodontic sealer was able to reduce the bond strength, mainly when the fibreglass posts was cemented by resin cement. Conclusions: The calcium silicate‐based sealer did not adversely affect the bond strength of the fibre posts cemented with self‐adhesive resin cement.

The present investigation showed that although it was expected that a sealer containing MTA acted as a repairer, no advantage could be obtained regarding the tissue responses to MTA Fillapex compared with the epoxy resin–based sealer AH Plus or the zinc oxide–based sealer EndoFill. The flow of AH Plus and Endofill decreased with the increase of AgVO(P5), and the flow of Sealer and Sealapex was not affected (P5). The radiopacity of AH Plus increased with AgVO(P5). Endofill and did not differ from the control Endofill (P5).

The Endofill sealer presented 0. Smaller dimensions for test samples used in solubility and dimensional change tests are a viable alternative, decreasing the amount of filling material necessary for executing these tests.
