I just got a root canal and it still hurts

I would have tried to go back to the. The area that hurts is the tooth that I had root canal before the crown. My dentist said the pain will all go away after I have my permanent crown on.


It is not a serious pain that I have to take any pain killer or something.

Hello I had a root canal months ago. It was a bit better at first. A week after the procedure I was still having tooth pain. Canal was done due to sensitivity, I had no infection.


At any rate tooth is still sensitive to hot and cold. I went in to the endo who did the procedure and he touchd the tooth with cold and at the time. So if a root canal was causing health problems in a. Persistent tooth sensitivity may indicate that root canal treatment is needed. Even with a crown, which is commonly needed after the root canal is done, decay can occur if hygiene is not adequate.


Brush, floss, and see your dentist for follow-up care. It is hard to say without more clinical observation or information. I am just as concerned about your husband still having pain in the tooth after a week.
