Palate swelling after root canal

I had root canal on upper molar a week ago. The time that the procedure was done, my gum is swollen and has pus. While the root canal is being performe i feel that there is a hard thing on my hard palate. I thought it was just a feeling of anesthesia. A root canal involves deep cleaning inside the canals (the inner chamber of the root ) of your tooth, which can in turn.

Occasionally, the site of a palatal injection can be sore and painful for several days after.

And in addition, it can sometimes ulcerate a bit. It is uncomfortable, but typically resolves. Pain from biting on a tooth that has had a root canal can also occur, for several days and sometimes even a week or so. The palate has the ability to recover in only 1- weeks after smoking stops completely. Sometimes dental procedures can cause bumps on the roof of your mouth to form.

This is very possible after a procedure like root canal or extraction. The bump may be the result of an injury inflicted by dental tools. There are many things that can go wrong while doing a root canal procedure.

After cleaning the root canal , there is placement of a sterile material in the canal which is known as gutta percha.

Sometimes, the gutta percha placement may go beyond the tip of the root , and may enter the periapical bone, which could lead to a swelling. Yes, this is a dental emergency. The swelling indicates that your body still has an infection that it is having trouble fighting.

Pain and Swelling after Root Canal A tooth or teeth that have been handled as thoroughly as a root canal is expected to be painful. Such handling of a tooth’s nerve tissue stimulates the body’s inflammatory response causing the swelling. After incessant tooth pain brings you to the dentist, you learn the cause of your discomfort: you have a badly damaged or decayed tooth. You schedule a root canal (formally known as an endodontic treatment) with Evanson DDS and have the procedure completed.

Periodontal, or gum abscess, can cause the face to swell, with or without a root canal. However, there is build up of severe pressure in the canal , which leads to pain in the tooth and swelling around it. This kind of swelling can be seen before undergoing a root canal treatment as well as a result of acute or chronic pulpitis, which leads to build up of pus and pressure in the root canal. I had an abscess that extended to the back side of my tooth, in the roof of my mouth (I hope that makes sense), endodontist was worried that the tooth might be cracked near the root.

It almost feels like a long almost blister on the hard palate. Is this just swelling from the needle that numbed the area? Or normal swelling from the work in that area in general? When plaque and calculus form as a result of poor oral care, this could lead to a swelling on the upper jaw. Bumps due to dental issues may be distinguished by caries on the upper jaw, which run into the root canal.

They sometimes result in abscess. There could be visible large bumps on roof of mouth.

Patients who are running a fever shortly after the procedure should also usually get checked out, since fever is often an early sign of infection. Swelling in the cheek after Root canal treatment can be due to persistent infection in the roots, excessive instrumentation during the procedure, infected pulp tissue left in the canal. I would suggest you to visit the Dentist and get the check up done, take an x-ray of the tooth, if there is infection you can go for re-RCT.

I had am infection in my upper jaw (apparently) which necessitated root canal treatment. I had the first stage last week, where the dentist removed the root of the tooth, and suggested I go back in a few weeks for the second step: filling the tooth with something. Mouth sores Before they become obvious spots or blisters, cold sores and canker sores may cause swelling on the roof of your mouth.
